To date Ashden has provided funding to over 225 organisations and projects, which collectively have improved the lives of over 88 million people and saved more than 13 million tonnes of CO2e annually.

Solutions to the global climate emergency already exist – but they aren’t spreading fast enough. That’s why Ashden, via their Awards Scheme, finds and provides funding and support to organisations around the world which deliver affordable and sustainable energy solutions. These create new jobs, better health and more resilient communities.

Ashden uses its expertise and connections to help energy innovators around the world secure investment, reach new customers and increase their impact. They also build networks that let bright minds share what they’ve learned and link global policymakers and analysts with proven solutions.

Ashden is focused on high-impact breakthroughs that drive systemic change in our societies and energy networks: The Ashden model has over many years proven to be a highly cost-effective mechanism to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.
