The Global Returns Project (GRP), a UK registered charity connecting investors with the world’s most impactful climate philanthropy, announces its new partnership with Mindful Wealth, the independent UK-based impact financial adviser that encourages investors to focus on long-term benefits for people and the planet.
Through this partnership, Mindful Wealth will be able to offer GRP’s Portfolio to their clients, connecting investors with the world’s most impactful climate philanthropy.
The “Global Returns Portfolio” is curated by GRP and applies a ‘fund management’ approach to climate philanthropy by emphasising diversification, rigorous research and regular performance reporting. The Portfolio is a selection of diverse, effective and scalable not-for-profit organisations tackling climate change. Selection of the Portfolio’s constituents is overseen by GRP’s Technical Advisory Board, a panel of world-class climate scientists, who assess and review not-for-profits on a regular basis. Clients of participating financial institutions can donate a small proportion (0.25%, for example) of savings and investments to the Portfolio annually.
Jai Street, Founder of Mindful Wealth, said: “We are excited to partner with the Global Returns Project as we share the same values of creating positive change through sustainable investing and beyond. Our collaboration will enable us to take our impact investing approach to the next level, supporting regenerative projects that make a difference to the world and providing our clients with access to a portfolio of the most effective not-for-profits tacking the Climate Crisis.”
Jack Chellman, Chief Project Officer at Global Returns Project, said: “The Climate Crisis will affect everything, including our investments, and investors are increasingly becoming aware of the importance in tackling this immediately. Our focus on connecting investors with the most impactful climate philanthropy helps to address the lack of investment products available for directly regenerating the planet. Through our partnership with Mindful Wealth, we will help clients realise their environmental goals and continue to spread the need for more action from the financial services industry.”
This announcement is the latest in a series of partnerships with various financial institutions and trade bodies established earlier this year, including Path Financial, Titan Asset Management, Big Picture Financial Planning, Pangea Impact Investments, Leading Edge Wealth Planning, Happy Planet Financial Planning, Gritstone Financial Planning, The Lost Coin Financial Planning, Southam Financial Planning, ESG Accord, Octo Members, GrowthInvest, PIMFA, Overstory Finance.
The Global Returns Project had raised more than £250,000 for portfolio constituents as of March 2022.
