International Adviser has covered the groundbreaking partnership between the Global Returns Project and Fundment, which integrates climate philanthropy into one of the UK’s leading investment platforms.
IA’s Holly Downes writes:
Investment platform provider Fundment has partnered The Global Returns Project (GRP) to support advisers wishing to offer climate philanthropy to clients.
Through the partnership, Fundment will integrate GRP’s access to climate charities into their platform enabling sustainability motivated clients to direct funds to high impact climate charities.
GRP uses a team of environmental scientists to identify the highest impact climate mitigation charities, and reassesses these every six months. It directs 100% of donations to a client’s selected charities and all donors receive impact reports also every six months.
Jack Chellman (pictured), chief executive of GRP, said: “Partnering with Fundment is an important achievement for us which will enable financial advisers to incorporate climate philanthropy into financial planning in unprecedented ways.”
Fundment chief executive, Ola Abdul, added: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with the GRP. By supporting a collection of climate-focused charities, GRP is providing a meaningful avenue for investor engagement.
“This partnership showcases the power of Fundment’s technology in enabling advisers to further personalise and deliver on their clients’ preferences, including philanthropy.”
